Greetings from Whatcom County Chapter in Beautiful Bellingham, WA
Whatcom County Chapter of Medical Assistants (WCCMA) is an active and progressive chapter. We are dedicated to the continuing education of our members and to enhancing the recognition of Certified Medical Assistants in our places of employment and throughout our community.
Chapter Meetings and Educational Presentations:
We meet on the third Wednesday of each month.
We are now back at the Bellingham Golf and Country Club!! Join us for some great food and see the newly remodeled space.
6:00 PM - No-Host Dinner with socializing and networking and a short business meeting. Our educational speaker begins at 7:00 p.m. and lasts one hour to satisfy requirements for 1 CEU. Please join us, we look forward to meeting you!
We take a break from our regular monthly meetings in July and August.
In December, we celebrate the season by gathering for our annual potluck and gift exchange. We also give cash donations to various charities in our community.
WCCMA offers a scholarship twice a year to students from Whatcom Community College's Medical Assisting Program.

We need you and your ideas to raise money for our local chapter. If you have an interest in marketing and fund raising events please contact our chapter Secretary Katy Denooyer, CMA at katybug29@comcast.net. She will be happy to hear your ideas and look forward to working with you.
Continuing Education Brainstorm:
If you have ideas for topics and/or speakers for our chapter continuing education, please contact Kathy Avilla, CMA, chapter vice president at kravilla@madronamedical.com She will be thrilled to hear from you. We value your input and we want to help you keep your certification status current.
