The term for office of WSSMA President is for one year and may only be for one consecutive term.
Please check WSSMA Bylaws and Standing Rules Committee for full details. The following is a brief description of the role and duties of the office of President.
The WSSMA President:
needs to preside at all meetings except the HOD and needs to provide the meeting agendas
will address the opening session of the HOD
will be a member of all committees except the Nominating Committee
will appoint the Parliamentarian for their presiding year
may appoint a corresponding secretary if desired
has the power to fill vacancies in Offices and in Standing Committees whenever necessary with the approval of the BOT
will submit an Annual Report to the HOD
will serve as Delegate to the AAMA HOD
will be the first liaison to the Washington State Medical Association
